Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in an LA Vehicle Accident

The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in the state of California at the age of 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.

The celebrated video game developer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
