Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the main group to embark on their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team features Teor (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for participants who enjoy a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are rare.
Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
First, the team understands precisely where to go next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the narrative’s action—used the foes for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The antagonist then paid off his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
- The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the team enter locations they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter swore a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.
